Petal Pizzazz Get Well Card

Hello everyone.  I hope you are having a wonderful summer.  It has been miserably hot here...but we are surviving it.

A friend of mine from nursing school had surgery a couple of weeks ago, and I needed to make a get well card for her.  I wanted it to be young and fun.  I pulled out the Petal Pizzazz set and went to work.  I also used the Newsprint designer series paper.  I love this paper.  It is so versatile.

I also thought it would be fun to make this card a little different size.  I have used this size before.  I ended up using a 5x7 envelope for this card.  The envelope was a little too large and not at all ideal, but it worked in a pinch.

Overall, I am pleased with the way the card turned out.  How can you not love something that has a huge rhinestone and gorgeous ribbon?

Summer has still been very busy around here.  We just got home last night from a couple day trip to see my brother, his wife and little boy in the Pasadena area.  We saw the Giants and the Dodgers play on Monday night.  My brother is a die hard Dodger fan, and we are die hard Giants fans.  It was a fun night.  The game was great...and the Giants won!

Today the kids start day camp.  It actually started Monday, but we were out of town, so they didn't get to start until today.  They are really excited...and I'm excited to have some quiet time here.  It ends Friday and they get to go to the water slides.

I hope you have a wonderful day. I am expecting an order from Stampin Up today.  Maybe I will have some time to play with my new goodies while the kids are away!

Enjoy your day!
