Cut Outs Cards

Christmas is coming!  I know, I know, we're still a ways away, but I LOVE Christmas.  So I couldn't wait to start making some Christmas projects.  Don't worry, if you're not ready to get in the Christmas Spirit, I've also made a birthday project too!

For this project, I wanted to use the We R Memory Keepers Polka Dots Cut Out die.  This creates fun cut outs on the front of your card, but leaves your card base intact.  It makes for fun windows on your card.  The Cut Outs dies are also available in a Chevron pattern and Banner pattern.  These make fun birthday cards or quick and easy stationery to keep on hand.

You could definitely leave these as is, but I thought it would be cool to fill these holes back up with different colors and patterns of papers.  I also randomly popped some of them up to give dimension.  To add even more dimension to some of these polka dots, I decided to add Bottle Caps 1/2 inch epoxy dots.  These are so much fun!  They give a really cool raised/dome effect to your pattern paper.  They also add a kind of magnification.  They look especially cool on the glitter polka dots.

I've also take this same idea, and adapted it to a birthday card.  I've just changed to colors to fit the occasion.

It would also be fun to make this in a rainbow or ombre pattern!

A lot of you requested more masculine projects, so I also made this card with masculine themed patterned papers.  Most cards can easily be made for men by changing the colors and elements.  But I am a firm believer that a little bit of glitter is totally acceptable on a masculine card...especially when it's for a celebration.

You see, a little glitter never hurt anyone!  Not even a guy!
