Hello You Make Me Smile - Partial Inked Background Stamp

Hey everyone!  I hope you brought your sunglasses!  Because I have a super fun and BRIGHT color combo for you to try...just in time for spring.  I'm totally crushing on orchid, navy and lime green.  But when you combine them...they're even MORE FABULOUS!

Today's card project not only features a fun color combination, but also some fun products from Hero Arts.  I love the Triangle Background Stamp and Hello Stamp and Cuts.  These stamp and cuts are also available in other sentiments as well!  I've linked the other available sentiments at the bottom of the supply list below.

I'm going to show you how you can get more miles out of your background stamps with partial inking.  This fun technique will allow you to use your background stamps to create a rough edged pattern on your card without covering the entire background.  Sometimes, too much of a pattern can feel too busy.  This will allow you to use these bold patterned stamps without them feeling like they're overwhelming the card design.  It also creates the illusion of layers.  It's so easy to do...I'll show you in the video below.

I also adore that curved stitched border die from Pretty Pink Posh.  It's such a fabulous way to add an unexpected twist to a card front!

As always, I've included a video tutorial below walking you through the creation of this card.  I've also included links to all the products used in this project below.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed this project!  And I hope you are inspired to create something that requires sunglasses! ;)  Have a fabulous day!
