Ombre Die Cuts
Hi everyone! My BFF has recently moved and texted me in desperation needing some Thank You's for all the awesome housewarming gifts she's receiving. So I created a card with mass production in mind and some fun ombre die cuts!
I decided a fast watercolor background would be an easy and therapeutic way to create a whole lotta cards at once. I'm using the FABULOUS Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set. These watercolors are so creamy. They are wonderful for building color. You can get some awesome intense color...or add more water for a softer look.
I'm using the Hero Arts Stamp and Cuts for my sentiment (because I can't get enough of them). I used the die to create several of the 'thanks' die cuts and then colored them using Copic markers to get the ombre effect. I'll show you some tips in the video below for making this super fast and easy! I created five at a time....and you'll be amazed at how fast these come together, with just a little scribbling.
Once I created the ombre effect on the die cuts, I added a generous coat of the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter. It's so hard to capture the shimmer in photos, but in real life, these die cuts are wonderfully shimmery. It's the perfect finishing touch.
These watercolor cards are fast and easy...but if you're looking for an even simpler version, I've created this card. I've taken the exact same element grouping that I used in the card above and attached it to a Lawn Fawn pre-made patterned note card. Using pre-made cards will cut your production time significantly!
I've included a video tutorial below walking you through the entire creation of this card. I've also included links to all the products used in these projects below. Just click the link to be directed directly to the product page. I've also linked to multiple sources for your convenience.
