Sugar Rush From Studio Calico Is Here
Once a month, I get a very awesome package in the mail. It comes with all kinds of card making supplies from Studio Calico that have been expertly assembled to coordinated beautifully! It's a very happy time! This month's kit is called Sugar Rush and I think you're going to LOVE it!
Here are the projects that I have made with the Sugar Rush Kit and Taffy Add On Kit.
This card uses just the main kit and the coordinating digital files. I love the digital files. They make fussy cutting a snap! I added some embroidery thread for my kite string and some glossy accents to the heurts on the kite to punch this card up a notch! Small little details like that can really make a simple card a stellar card!
This may just be my favorite. I used supplies from the Taffy Add On to create this birthday card. The gold foil hexagon vellum is to die for…and I want to hoard it! No seriously. I WANT TO HOARD THAT VELLUM!
Another simple yet totally lovable card using supplies from only the main card kit, Sugar Rush. I used a square from one of the patterned papers to create my focal sentiment/image for this card. I added a couple of die cut hearts from the digital cut files, colored with Copic markers. A couple thick coats of glossy accents to the center heart makes this card shine! And I completed the card with a bit of gold stitching around the perimeter.
I used both the Taffy Add On Kit and the Sugar Rush main kit to create this card. I masked the stamp so that it just says "hello" and embossed it on some vellum. The navy twine? That comes in the Taffy kit…and I'm in LOVE. Those enamel hearts are fabulous (you'll find those in the main kit). Those hearts? They're exactly the same as the one above. I just colored them to match my color scheme for this card. This card uses items from the main kit and the digital cut files. I absolutely adore that love cut. I love cutting my cuts from white paper, and using markers, mists and inks to color them to match my project. There's a video below showing you the entire creation of this card.
If there was ever a stamp that was made just for me, it was THIS stamp! And how could I use a stamp like that without using some gold glitter? This card's a breeze to create and watch for a video (coming soon to the blog) showing exactly how I created those perfectly round glitter polka dots! This stamp comes from the Sugar Rushmain kit.
Another sparkly card…just so I could indulge in that fabulous gold glitter some more!
I used another piece of the paper that I used for the Heart You card above to create this card as well. The patterns in this month's kit are fabulous enough to stand alone! And this card proves it!
