Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker Background - Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

For today's card, I decided to use my new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to create a watercolor background.  I used three colors to give me an ombre look.  I just love how easily these Zig Clean Color markers blend with water.  You can definitely get this look with traditional watercolors as well. I just feel like I have more control over the color when laying it down with a marker.  You can also build up the color by coming back in with your marker while the paper is wet.  Since the tips are a real brush and not a felt tip, it won't damage your marker.

I thought it would be fun to die cut some patterned acetate to create a tag.  The patterned acetate against the watercolor background is such a cool effect!  I used my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo 2 to create my tag.  This particular acetate is a little tricky to die cut...so I used my Sizzix Precision Base Plate to give me a clean cut all the way through the acetate.  It worked like a charm.

The Wild Garden Die set from the Essentials By Ellen line was the perfect compliment to the acetate tag.  I cut the gorgeous flower out of my favorite American Crafts gold glitter paper.  Once again, to get a clean cut all the way through the thick glitter paper, I used my Precision Base Plate.  The "enjoy" die cut is also from the Essentials By Ellen line.  And the fine lines of this die cut make this the perfect addition to my card.  I love how the black POPS against the glitter and watercolor backgrounds.

I have included a video below walking you through the entire creation of this card.  I've also included links to all the products used in this video below.
