Mourning the loss of summer

I am always amazed by how extremely busy I become at this time of year. The kids are back in school and I am gearing up to go back myself. I always get a little nervous about school starting, probably because I know that I will be so busy and have so much to do every single day. I start back to school on Tuesday. I will be starting my third semester of the nursing program. My husband, who is a high school math teacher, will also be starting back to school on Tuesday. We are mourning the loss of summer.

I spent my morning listing some stuff on eBay that I have been meaning to list all summer. It's not like me to wait until the very last minute, but at least I got it done. (There is some crafting stuff and my username on eBay is carissay.) I am also preparing for Stamp Club which is at my house tomorrow night. I have some yummy snacks planned for the club girls. I am going to try a Tiramisu Brownie recipe. I don't like chocolate, so I don't know if they'll be any good...but it sounded good. It has coffee in it, so how can you go wrong?

Right now, the house is completely quiet and I am just enjoying it. It won't last for long. This afternoon will kick off an evening full of stuff...including orthodontic appointments and Back To School Night for my son. I'm contemplating going into my craft room or just sitting in the quiet, drinking my iced coffee.

I hope you are having a wonderful summer day. I know I am.

Enjoy your day!
