Merry and Bright - Faux Wood Veneer
Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying December! I love Christmas time and making Christmas cards and I wanted to share another Christmas project for you. This card is easy to pull together for all of those last minute Christmas cards you may need.
I am using a couple of products from Studio Calico, including the Very Merry stamp set by JJ Bolton and the Merry craft die. I love these handwritten sentiment dies.
I will be using the same technique I showed you a couple of weeks ago to create a faux wood veneer embellishment for the front of my card. I used the Cherry real wood paper from ARC Crafts to create this wood veneer embellishment. To bulk up the wood piece, I layered several white die cuts and then added the wood piece on top. This makes a fun and cool faux wood veneer embellishment. You could do this with any of your dies.
I attached the wood veneer piece to my card front using my Tiny Attacher. Now that I have gold staples to use in my Tiny Attacher, I can't get enough of it. If you want to see how I created the gold staples, be sure to check out this video I created a few weeks ago.
To create the rest of my sentiment, I used the Clark's ABC's stamp set by Lawn Fawn. This set is so much fun and so versatile. I love that there is more than one of each letter. You can spell out words that have repeated letters all on one stamp block.
I have included a video tutorial below, walking you through the entire creation of this card. Be sure to subscribe to me on YouTube and give the video a thumbs up if you like it. If you subscribe, you'll be sure to never miss one of my card videos!
