Partial Die Cutting Featuring Pinkfresh Studio Bloom Stamps and Dies
Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today. Today I’m sharing a few cards featuring the Bloom stamp set and coordinating dies and a partial die cutting technique. I’m all about the partial die cutting recently. I love the way you can create a whole new look using this technique…and unique shapes and focal points for the front of your cards.

To color my images, I used my Polychromos colored pencils. I was in the mood to do something different than my standard, go-to Copic coloring, so I grabbed my pencils and did some easy coloring. You could use any coloring medium you prefer to color your images. Colored pencils are a great medium for coloring…and I often forget to pull mine out more often. (I’ll list the specific colors I used below.)
The Bloom stamp set has several sentiment options…and this allowed me to create cards for a few different occasions. You’ll notice that I also changed the position of my focal element on each of these cards. This is a quick way to give the card a change up, without rethinking the entire design.
I combined a couple of my cards with some patterned paper from the Simple & Sweet 6x6 collection. I used a stitched rectangle die to die cut the paper and add a little stitched detail to the patterned paper layer. Isn’t it interesting how different the two cards with the pink flowers look…just from a change in the patterned paper? I wasn’t sure I’d love the card with the black and white patterned paper behind it, but it ended up being my favorite.
For the final card, I created a wedding card. It came together really quickly once I had my focal colored and die cut. I stamped the light gray card base with the Floral Frames stamp set and clear heat embossed it. I added a strip of gold card stock to dress it up and add some shine. It’s simple and elegant. You could customize it for the bride and groom by using their wedding colors.
