Thanks Card - DIY Fringe Embellishment - YouTube Video Hop

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day!  I'm here with a fun project for you today.  I'm using some products from Lawn Fawn and We R Memory Keepers to make a fun Thank You note that just screams celebration.  And speaking of celebration, this video is a part of a YouTube video hop celebrating my friend Kari's 2,000th subscriber on YouTube.  She has some fun prizes, so be sure to check it out.

To make this super adorable fringe embellishment, I'll be using the We R Memory Keepers Fringe Tape.  This tape was originally designed for use with their little mini pinatas (which are super adorable), but I knew when I saw them that it would make a great embellishment for cards as well.  It comes in a lot of colors.  And I can't wait to experiment inking the white fringe tape too to create custom colors and ombre looks.

I did a little ink blending on some Neenah Solar White card stock so that my heart would have some base color.  You could skip this part and fill the whole heart with fringe tape instead if you want.  I then applied the fringe tape to the card stock.  It's easiest to work from the bottom up when using this fringe tape.  Since it has adhesive already on it, it's fast and easy to apply.  And it's easy to tear pieces off in the sizes that you need.

Once the fringe tape was applied, I used a heart die to cut through all the layers of fringe tape, card stock and glitter card stock.  This gave me a heart shaped embellishment with some fun fringe detail.  I love the fun frilly look!  I'll show you exactly how I did this in the video tutorial below.

For my sentiment, I used the Lawn Fawn Scripty Thanks Die.  Before cutting it out of Neenah card stock, I applied a layer of fun foam to the back.  This makes for quick and easy dimension on your die cuts.  I like to use the Stick It Adhesive for this, because it has a nice firm hold and it's easy to die cut.

Prior to applying the sentiment and fringe embellishment, I added a little sparkle using some Shimmer Spray from Tsukineko.  It's a fast and easy way to add some subtle shimmer to elements on your card.  And I think it's even more fun to have sparkly fringe!

I finished the card off by adding another piece of fringe tape along the edge.  I added some sparkling clear sequins for a little more sparkle.  It just wouldn't be complete without some megawatt sparkle. ;)

This card is fast and easy to put together....but the results are lots of fun.  Definitely suitable for a celebration!

Don't forget to head to Kari's YouTube channel to enter to win some fun prizes from Butterfly Reflections Ink, Lawn Fawn and Mint Owl Studio.  You must leave a comment on her video to be entered to win.  Next you can head over to Amy's video to see what she's put together.  Happy hopping!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed this project and I hope it inspires you to add a little fringe to your next card project.  It will be super fun to add this to birthday cards.  It's a party in a card.  Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!
